The Cadillac SRX five-passenger luxury crossover SUV received modest styling changes and updated features for the 2013 model year. It remains a posher and more-powerful alternative to the Chevrolet Equinox. A revised interior incorporates Cadillac’s CUE multimedia control system with a large touchscreen that recognizes gestures and provides tactile feedback. An active noise cancellation system uses embedded microphones and the audio system to help negate road noise. A blind spot warning system is standard, with optional safety features including a forward collision alert with automatic front and rear braking to help avoid collisions and a Safety Alert Seat that delivers tactile feedback via a vibrating seat bottom to warn of potential dangers. The SRX delivers solid all-around performance from its 308-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission, with decent handling, a smooth ride and an attractive and comfortable cabin.
